Brake Hand Pallet Trucks
There are three brake options in the Challenger
hand pallet truck range:
Trigger brake. Working like a "bike"
brake from a trigger opposite the lift/lower trigger on
the handle this can slow loads down and by applying the
ratchet, be used as a parking brake.
Dead mans brake. Pulling the "T"
bar releases the brake and the truck is free to move. Letting
go of the "T" bar applies the braking mechanism.
Foot Brake. This fits across the
steer wheels, is foot operated and works as a parking brake
only.
Please Note: All pallet truck braking
mechanisms are only for slowing the progress of travel. To
stop a moving pallet in an emergency Health & Safety stipulates
the pallet must be lowered to the ground.
